What age is MockNest for?
Year 5–6 children preparing for UK 11+ exams. A parent or guardian sets up the account; the child practises inside that nest.
Is this GL or CEM?
The MVP focuses on GL Assessment–style topic practice (Maths, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and English). We are not an exam board and we don’t sell “pass guarantees.”
Can we try before paying?
Yes. New accounts get 3 months of Standard free, with no payment card. After that, Practice stays free (unlimited questions) unless you choose Standard.
What’s free forever?
Unlimited practice questions, worked explanations after every question, starter vocab flashcards (about 1,000 words), sample videos, a simple session summary, and one child profile.
What do I pay for on Standard?
Full vocab flashcards (growing toward about 5,000 words), full Non-Verbal Reasoning and English grammar video libraries as we publish them, stronger guidance on what to practise next, more than one child, longer history, email support, and full timed mocks when they launch. £14.99 a month or £149.90 a year (2 months free).
Does my child need a payment card?
No. Only the parent pays, and only if you choose Standard after the free period.
Does my child need their own email?
No. You sign in as the parent. You add a child profile (name, year group, target exam year). They practise under your account.
What is a “sit”?
A sit is one practice run — typically about 20 cards on a topic or skill mix. After each card the child sees whether they were right and a short why. You get a simple wrap-up afterwards.
Which subjects can we practise?
Maths, Non-Verbal Reasoning (NVR), Verbal Reasoning (VR), and English, as shown in your child’s subject hub. Exact mixes depend on what’s in the live bank and your plan.
Are there full timed mocks?
Not yet. MockNest today is strong topic practice with explanations. Full timed mocks are on the roadmap — we’ll say so clearly on the homepage until they ship.
What’s the difference between Practice and Standard?
Practice is unlimited questions and explanations forever, with starter vocab and sample videos. Standard adds the full published vocab and video libraries, richer parent guidance, siblings, and mocks when they launch. See Pricing.
How do I delete our data?
Use account settings where available, or email hello@mocknest.co.uk from the parent address on the account. See Privacy for what we store and how deletion works.
